I was needing some new grips for some blued babies so I made a couple.
I likes them just fine. Wished my camera work could do justice.

I like the lighter set on the right. They need medallions though - too plain and naked w/o them.

Thanks guys, the Maple grips are from a large tree that fell on a house about 23 years ago, I cut it up and have since made a few tables and chairs from it and some other grips. I still have a bit of gnarly wood left for more projects. The gun is a Maxi. The other is Silkwood from Ceylon. I got a few boards of that wood from an old man that salvaged it from the basement of an old Hotel in one of the Dakotas around the 1970's when the hotel was being taken down. This is the first finished project I have done with this wood, I think it is quite exotic. I love doing this stuff. Chief aka Maxx Load

Very nice work sir, you have a talent. While I like them both I especially like the lighter-colored grips on the right.

Thanks. Tho they look nice and they do, they feel better(they fit my big paws), smoothe as silk. The Silkwood grips on the right are "opalescent" and you are right ks they are very kool.
I have been woodworking for 40+ years and making a living at this stuff on and off for the last 35. The talent has been developed, I can assure you it wasn't always there. Chief aka Maxx Load

ps...I have plenty of exotic wood around here if you want to try your hand at gripmaking. :twisted:
