I removed a New Model XR3-Red style Stainless Grip Frame from a Single-Six. I was replacing with a New Model Single Six Grip Frame XR3 style. The only difference I see in these two grip frames is the Newer one does not have the locating ears that go into the back of the cylinder frame. The new style does not have these thus they use the new style grips that do not require the notch in the grip panels.
So, the problem is with the grip frame bolted up the gun will not cock all the way back. Any ideas? Does not appear to be a "jamming or rubbing" issue on the moving parts. Thanks

The rear face of the hammer may be contacting the grip frame before the trigger sear can drop into the sear notch? Also ,check to make sure the spring coils are not stacking up solid and have no more give.
