Greeting everyone,
Got into handgun hunting with a 10.5" Super Blackhawk 10-12 years back. Didn’t hunt much and getting skunked killed my motivation. But I finally dropped my first deer with a pistol last weekend.I own a .22 Taurus 94, a Dan Wesson 15-2VH kit gun, and a .357 Max Contender. Now I’m working on my open sight shooting and want to add a .41 Blackhawk for deer. Love all the info here. Thanks!

Welcome. Since you are planning on a .41 NMBH, for deer, I'd recommend getting after market grips for better control. I've had Hogue grips on mine since 1999.

A Henry rifle or carbine in the same caliber also makes a good companion gun for longer shots if you can't get close enough with the Ruger. :)
