I've only been involved with this forum for a very short period of time. Yet, like several of the other forums on the inter-web that I've been involved with, for over 15 years, this forum has been exceptionally civil, honestly informative, and very co-operative for the most part. That's quite unusual these days, and I can quote a few members, like "contender" who have done a lot to get "things straight".
Folks visit here to get "helpful information" rather than some speculative guestimate as to what just might work when it comes to how they can make their Ruger Mark pistols work better. Think about what get's posted and what the actual fix really involves, and PLEASE, don't forget to ask the solving persona how their fix actually works from the experience they claim.

Seriously,, because we have so many really good folks here with a wealth of knowledge that are always willing to share,,, is why I'm still here after all these years.

With the people who are on this forum, one will get more true honest repair answers and suggestions as compared to WAGs about how to fix something. The wealth of knowledge about ALL Rugers is huge here and I for one don't/won't hesitate to ask if I don't know how to fix something. I also will not answer if I don't know how to fix a posed problem, why should I clutter up the board. I will, in some cases answer if the question needs some clarification and I think I might know how to help.

SGW. 8 years is hardly a very short period of time.

I've always found your posts to be very helpful. So well written that even after photobucket deleted your excellent pictures. the posts still make sense.

Your willingness to share your hard earned knowledge is a big part of what has made this forum great. If I remember you are the person who taught me how to tune my mkII magazines. Taught me the safer way to squeeze the mk frames to tighten them, and you recommended Kopr kote. Most of what I've learned from you was answering other people's questions. So I'm not sure I ever properly thanked you. . Thanks for everything. Ed
