GP100 Dis-assembly

Hello All,
I'm a (recently purchased) GP100 owner. Never dis-assembled a revolver--have owned S&W that don't recommend. How often is this needed? Is it hard? Advice appreciated.

You don't have to but the GP-100 has major assemblies that can be taken apart for cleaning. I would recommend that it be taken apart once in a while just to make sure everything is clean and oiled correctly. If you leave the gun for years it might be difficult to take apart.
