A man in the area has a GP100/357mag..38 special with a 3" barrel..it's stainless with original grips...max of 500 rounds fired..very clean and tight revolver...he's asking $550 which I thought was a little on the high side...I hear the 3" is more desired by many folks than the 4" or 6"....I do have one in a 3" barrel, blued but it is the less common 38 special only...thanks

I guess I'll be the first one to chime in as I've been looking at these for a while now.
The 3" at Bud's is $513.
Davidson's has them on sale this month and will sell one through my
local shop for $552, which comes to $623 when adding their fee and state sales tax.
Hope that helps some?

Thanks for the info..I had forgotten about Bud's...We often have trouble getting a particular make or mode sent to California...the laws keep changing..the GP100 in 3" isn't on the "approved list" for shipment into California while the 4 and 6 in both Stainless and Blued are ok...what a hassle. So it's only ok to by and sell that particular gun in California on a private party to private party sale at a local FFL where the paperwork gets done...

I'm going to look it over really good and see if there is some give...And again, thanks for the heads up on new ones for sale even though they can't be shipped in here.

OOPS my mistake....I didn't look hard enough for it....so now I can buy one on line if I find someone that will ship to CA...I know Bud's will...for $513 (I'll have to check if his price is shipped or plus shipping) then with the DROS at $25 and a usual handling fee from out of state of about $50 and about $50 taxes, at the dealer I use puts it at about $650 plus...The nice used one here is startng to look a bit better all the time...$550 (or $500) plus DROS of $25 and "fees" for private party transfer of in state of $10 and no taxes makes the total $585 if I'd pay the $550 and $535 If he will take a flat $500.

Thanks for pointing out my error...the list is just a bit confusing to say the least...
