GP100 3" Half-shroud

Not sure how common or rare they are but .... they seem to be in high demand recently and bringing pretty good prices.

I see more of the full shroud than half and virtually none of the ones with adjustable sights.

Terry is correct, he is missing the correct grips. They should be the rubber with the rosewood inserts. Seemingly, I see this more and more especially on "pawned" items, original grips are stripped off and sold on ebay or else where anywhere between $30-$50 bucks. The 3" is tough to come by these days and general commands a higher price I would say that price as listed is average for the year and date she was built. I like the older model as compared to the new.

There are a host of Great inserts for this model, some sold by members here on the forum and others on ebay

Here's what the compact grips look like on my 3" full lug ......

Sweet, Terry! Looks like you have one of each flavor...half-shroud, full lug and blued! Nice to see the comparison with the Sixes, too...Speed Sixes, I assume. The GP100s are slightly beefier all around.

I'm missing the short lug blued. And then there's the .38 spl versions.....
The top left is a 3" Service Six in 357 mag. The bottom left is a 3" Speed Six in 38 spl. 3" Six series were never cataloged, most are 2 3/4". Both of these would have been 'special order'.

Very nice, hittman! Do you carry with it, and if so, what method/holster do you use?

No, I don't carry the GP. When I'm in other states I carry the LCP or S&W 37 most often.

Terry T ~ I fold! This 3-incher is the only stainless GP I own, the other one is below:
