GP 100 Trigger

I just purchased a 5" davidson GP new in the box, After shooting some and dry firing, the action has smoothed up quite well. Question is, by replacing the hammer sping from #14 to a #12 will that make the initial take up a slicker or easier and can just this spring be replaced or should the return spring be replaced as well.

I think the best thing to do is get the Wolf reduced power spring kit (out of stock right now at Midway), keep breaking the gun in or have it slicked-up and replace the springs one step at a time until you get just what you want. Consider that if used for self-defense you don't want any light primer hits or a trigger that won't reset.

I use the 12# hammer & the 10 # trigger & have 100% reliability.

During the primer scrounging I bought a box of SR primers (I adjusted loads accordingly) but never a lite hit !!!

I strongly suggest gettin a set of cheap feeler gages at your local auto supply & shimmin the trigger & hammer, for consistent trigger pull weights !!

In the pic is a tool which I`ve sold to many members & nonmembers nary a whimper of it not workin !!

It`ll make pullin the trigger group safer & easier !!!
