I have a 2022 model GP100 and an older one. I want to remove the trigger latch spring. After removing the pin the spring and latch do not want to come out. There is a hole on top and bottom of the shaft that is not on my older model. There is something in the hole. Did Ruger redesign so you cannot remove spring?

Well I figured it out. The stuff I saw in the top and bottom holes was drill bit shavings. The holes must be there for pressure release or lube points? There was a small bur spot on the edge of the end latch hole that was not allowing the trigger guard latch to come out easily. Got it all out. I will dress the tunnel. I am going to see how a 10# spring works in place of factory.
