Anyone pick one up yet? I fondled one at gun show the other day. Nice feel ad the look is awesome! Don't know much about this gun. Is it custom worked gun?

I always liked my GP-100.

I like the idea of these, but being a fan forever of the Security Six I cannot bring myself to cheat on them.

Came close though...There is one for sale locally, for a fair price. Figured I'd go buy it until I discovered it was not the adjustable sight model, but the Novak sight model. I know, splitting hairs, but it's my money. https://www.northwestfirearms.com/threads/ruger-match-champion-gp100-357mag-revolver-nib.192990/

and Ruger does profess this gun to have some additional treatment... http://ruger.com/products/gp100MatchChampion/features.html
WAYNO.

It's a prettied up regular GP. The barrel has been "slab sided", the underlug shortened and the grips are unique to this model. Internally it's been given an "action job" to improve the trigger pull and the cylinder chamfered. For my money, the adjustable sight version is the only one of interest but the fixed sights appeal to some shooters. They are a bit pricy compared to the standard gun but there are some worthwhile enhancements.

They are not that pricy compared to the regular model. My dealer only charged me $50 more than the standard GP and that is with adjustable sights.

Have you shot it yet? Is it any more accurate then the standard model? The one I saw at the gun show was going for around $705. MSRP is a little over $900.

LGS had the adjustable sight model (the only one I'd have) last week... going by in the morning after work to see if it's still there, but this time I'm taking some trade-bait to soften the blow of that $700 asking price. :D

I've been eyeing one at a local gun shop. I rented a regular GP-100 a few weeks ago and put several 38's and 357's down the pipe and it shot very nicely. Very little recoil even with the magnum loads. Holding the Match Champion and feeling the trigger, I imagine it shoots VERRRRY nicely. I might develop a need for one of them soon....
