Checked my Bank account today and discovered that the little bitty handout of $600 from the government had been deposited. Nice they give us citizens a few crumbs while handing the bread, cake and cookies off to foreign countries.

And that's the truth

Well that can't be "crumbs". Remember when we got the $1200 last time , Pelosi told us that was crumbs. So this is one step below crumbs. Not sure what that would be called.......powdered crumbs?? Crumb dust??

I took the $1,200 even though it tasted bad.... I did choose not to collect unemployment or apply for the loan for $52K I was 'entitled' too as a small business that 'they' will forgive with the proper documentation...

actually I bought another gun from an individual with the $1,200 and in a way I guess this is helping someone out.

I don't keep up with all this 'economic' news and did not know that we were all going to get some more free money...

I did note that I got a $6 raise in my sociable security payment.

Don't forget the huge raise they gave themselves! Raises for these people should be voted on by the electorate...every four years....

In order to get the money I wonder how much more the taxpayers (I’m speaking of those thar actually pay income tax) will have to pay.

Where do all of these people think the money comes from?

They print it up in the basement of the White House.

Bought a Argentine Mauser in 30/06 this morning with my portion of the crumbs, with crumbs left over to buy another! LOL

Send Nancy and Chuckie a thank you card and be sure and tell them what you bought

Got ours!

What some folks don't understand is that this "money" was "created" by the simple act of accounting manipulations by the government. No printing presses were used, no bags of currency were shipped out. The national debt will just go up to cover all this that can't be recovered with taxes, and the associated inflation will reduce our real purchasing power.

Yep . . . "free money"!

You can always send it back if you feel it isn't enough or isn't deserved or you could send it me.

$600 pays all of my household bills for a month with a little left over for groceries. This KungFlu debacle has been costing me 2x that amount in lost work every month since March 2019. I won't turn it down but seriously, does anyone think that tossing crumbs at a starving lion is going to make a difference?
The "welfare class" is making more than many working citizens.

It was already my money. I was just letting the guberment "borrow" it for awhile.

I'm still trying to figure out the economics of it in a capitalistic society.... where one is supposed to get what they deserve for the appropriate amount of work they do.... if everyone gets the same amount of money for no work doesn't that economically cancel what it is worth out?

Y'all know me and I know consider me liberal... but somehow this just does not add up..... or to be more specific it balances out to 'zero'

I grew up in the 40`s and 50`s. I seen my first beggar in a Canadian town about 1957. Then I went to California and Mexico in the early 60`s and started seeing them. Of course inflation was a big factor but in those days everyone I l knew worked hard for peanuts back then. In my view the beggars grew as the nations morals declined same time as the demonrats started turning socalist and communist during the Vietnam war.
"Free money" is tempting. Is it really free? I was taught there is a price for everything. Someone sometime is going to pick up the tab. The country is run on counterfeit money. While some lost money and business`s due the pandemic, many haven't. Government employee`s, retiree`s etc. Who`s gonna send it back?
I am unable to spend a dime laying here on hospice but my wife will need it later.
The thinking must be like "priming a pump". Pour water in a old rusty pump and hopefully we can use it some more.

Actually, how it works is that you get paid whatever your employer can get you to accept. Same with business, you get paid by whatever value people will allow for your "product". "Deserve" doesn't enter into it.

Actually, you get paid whatever YOU are willing to accept from the employer. Don't like what is offered? Then go somewhere else......
