Went out on the deck to cover the grill after supper and the crows were screaming at something. Then I saw it - a small coyote or a young one about 5 feet from my yard loping across the field that borders my backyard. I DO NOT need these in my backyard and luckily PA has no limit and no closed season (other than 3 Sundays in Nov.). Well, the Ruger American, in .300 Blackout (subsonic rounds), with a suppressor attached (I have neighbors on 3 sides) will be in the corner by the back door. I, and the neighborhood do not have any need for these animals to be around us. I'll try to get pictures if I can't get a shot.

The only caveat I'd mention is over-penetration with the 300 sub-sonic. We've seen a single Hornady 190 sub-sonic go through TWO deer w/o stopping and a couple of variations of 200-220 grain HP went through FIVE FEET of waterfilled milk jugs w/o stopping.
