Got my SR22P back from ruger today

So about 5pm this evening ups shows up on my door with my wife's sr22. Looks as though they cleaned it, put in a new(cant tell if its a different design as I haven't really looked closely) but much much harder to open take down lever, and a new barrel. First thing I did was disassemble it. The barrel screw was on crazy tight, and upon looking at it when removed it now has a lock washer, and a dab of what appears to be RED locktite. They gave me back the same slide, with some minor wear on it(as documented in my other thread) but I can live with that so long as it functions correctly. The take down lever is ridiculously stiff... like had to use tools to open stiff. Glad I tore it apart and looked, because they installed the spring/guide rod that goes under the barrel backwards :roll: All in all fairly happy with the new barrel and the fix to it falling off. If any of you would like pictures I can get them, but its fairly standard and I just re-locktited my barrel on lol.

Naah, that shouldn't have any effect on the takedown lever. The one on my SR22 is hard to open and requires a tool to do so.

I think its just a stiffer lever than what was in it before.... and I'm fine with that. I'd rather have to use tools to take it apart than have it fall down and get broken

Mine came back the same way.... which is the whole point of getting it repaired. I'm more than happy to have to pry it open vs. the way it was (and failed) before. :o

yeah funny thing is I didnt send mine in for that lol, but while it was there they replaced it anyway. Seems they're working the bugs out, and it also seems they're listening to the customer which is great.
