Went looking for a pair of binoculars the other day and bought a .22 Revolver. Finally got about what I was looking for.

Its a Uberti Stallion, 4 3/4" barrel. Nice little revolver, feels a little like a Colt 1849 Pocket Navy in the hand. Beautiful case colors and deep blue, with brass trigger guard and backstrap. A very handsome little gun.

Out of the box the trigger had a little creep, with a gritty feel. I smoothed this up by cocking the gun and pushing forward firmly on the hammer with my thumb as I dry fired it, using spent .22 cases for a cushion. After about fifty snaps, I greased the parts and it slicked up right pretty.

Seems much smaller than my Single Six, though the frames are about the same size. And, sights are right on for me at 8.0 yards. Will try for photos soon.

P.S. Finished my radiation therapy, wait-and-see period now.

Good luck
with your health and the pistol. Enjoy it.

Bob,

Congrats on the pistol.
When you do the pics try to do a pic of the chambers if you can. Been some discussion about Uberti .22 LR chambers over on SingleActions forum.

There is something very therapeutic about a sweet little .22 revolver. Sometimes a man just wants to plink. My favorite target is spent shotgun hulls tossed randomly out on the range. Hit one just right and it will leave the vicinity so quickly it gives the impression it was vaporized!
