I am new to the forum and wanted recommended Gunsmith’s for decent action Work. I have a Blackhawk Buckeye 10mm new in the box and finally want shoot it. The factory action leaves something to be desired. All input appreciated.

A member on these forums is DougGuy. He did some work on my Bisley 45 and it's awesome. Look for him on the Ruger Smithing forum. Reasonable pricing and fast turnaround (one week).

Boise Gun Company over on Veterans Memorial and N. Adams, has a real good gunsmith. I forget his name off hand, he's an old bird, with a lot of experience.

Actually I think Buckhorn Pawn has a gun smith too. Blackhawks kind of smooth up some when you are using it. Lot's of dry firing will help them. FWIW

I live in Nampa.

FWIW I'd go with the dry firing. I had Jim West to an action job for me several years ago on a SBH. He's a Master Gunsmith. I couldn't tell the difference.
