Global Warming in the Rockies

Been raining and snowing all Week here on our North Ranch. The mountains on both sides of our valley have a new white cap, 10 inches deep on Grand Mesa Sunday.

Yesterday morning we had about 4 inches of new white global warming on the ground over night here on the ranch with temperature 37 degrees. This morning I noticed that warming has gotten stronger. We got another 2 inches on the ground over night and the temperature went to the barn was 40 degrees.

Consider yourself lucky. Most of the rest of the country was hotter than normal with some unpleasant side effect like forest fires and large strong hurricanes.

I know here in South Florida it was really hot.

What part of Grand Mesa? In the past I would spend late October elk hunting out past Colebran. Beautiful country.

I think it will take that much in FL before the lib'z will accept that the
global-warming/climate change (called normal variation) is nothing but
a liberal presented farce.

Last year, didn't a global warming conference in CO get canceled because of a blizzard? If these "experts" weren't spewing so much hot air themselves, there wouldn't be as big a problem as they're telling us. And these celebrity crusaders warning us of climate change zooming around in private jets and rolling down the road in stretch limos spewing out tons of greenhouse gases. It's all a ruse to get federal grant money for their phony studies that is stolen from us by the tax code.

Don't know about that, but we now have SUN SHINE, for the first time
in five days! I thought, somehow, my house had been tele-ported to

Have any of you looked at the planting chart that appears in every nursery catalog? It has changed to reflect new norms of temperature. These companies have no political agenda, just want to make sure your rhododendron doesn't burn up or freeze.

If you really want a sudden overnight freeze all you have to do is plant a tomato plant.

Right! There was an article in the paper a couple of days ago that the apple crop is down 20% this year because of a May frost killing blossoms.
