Any body know how to remove the whole sight assembly on the super redhawk ? I don't mean the sight piece that you push the pin in to remove, I mean the whole piece. Is it welded or what? Can't seem to see how it attaches.

The front sight base is silver soldered to the barrel.

Perhaps a torch? It might discolor the barrel but it would be less destructive.
