Front Sight for Ruger GP100

I have just gotten a GP100 SS 4" and I would like to replace the front sight, getting old and can't see very good any more. The front sight has the little plunger in the front, depress and the sight pops out, the question is there a replacement sight using the plunger type of attachment for the Big Dot type of sight. Most of what I see in Brownell's or Midway do not specify attachment type.
Any help in helping me locate the proper sight will be appreciated.

Yes, there have been various sights all using the 'plunger' for the GP and redhawk fronts, maybe even the "Hi Viz, using the colored fluorescent tubes, we see them from time to time at the gun shows, used to be a set from Ruger were multi-colored plastic ones, also.............
 
If the Big Dot sight says it is for the GP100, it will mimic how the original sight goes in. Typically when companies have lists of guns for their product they have already taken into account how it mounts on specific guns.

There should be the option of both the Big Dot and Standard Dot front interchangeable front sight from Express Sights. Be certain to state it is for a 4" or 6" adjustable sighted model. They make one for the the 3" fixed sight GP100's also. Ruger offers a set of colored plastic sights in 4 colors that can be used designed for the Redhawk. They will fit but will have to have the height reduced somewhat. At one time Millett made a blaze orange and white front sights for the GP but no longer do. You may find one on the used market.

If it suits you, the front sight from the Redhawk fits the GP100. Ruger makes several colors. I use red, simply because it doesn't reflect light when used in the field, and is visible in poor light.
