The left bucket are 44's. A .430 die normally touches those all round. The right bucket are 45's & aren't quite .454.

So you still need to lube and size them? I've never cast my own so don't know a lot about it.

It's really simple stuff 6gun. Casting is all about heat & timing. I rolled all those bullets through my hands after they cooled to inspect them. Next step is to size & lube which isn't hard either with the right stuff. If I had you in my shop for a few hours I'd have you making them.

I used a 40 pound pot & four 4 cavity moulds to make those. BTW I have a few NOE aluminum moulds & they are great.

For any of you that haven't tried Mr. Halsteads bullets you are missing some nicely done bullets that seem to shoot well with any powder I have tried. His 230gr 41 "Keith" is a great shooter and my favorite from 900 fps to 1200 and his 240gr SWC is my "walking around" load at about 900fps in a 44Spl that has claimed a few racoons and a possum or two as well as one deer.

With my wife being pregnant again and the other little one only 17 months she had asked if I'd avoid casting in the attached garage for a little while. Lynn makes it easy for me and his prices are very fair. He also doesn't cast his bullets as hard a woodpecker lips which I really like. I doubt his BHN goes over 12-14 in any batch through some informal testing with an old tester.
