I’m reading the news about China, apparently the country is fed up with COVID lockdowns. They want to protest but the gov’t doesn’t let them.
So they hold up blank pieces of paper or just stand there silently.
I try to imagine how those people feel. I guess if you grew up in the society like that and that’s all you knew, it would be different.
It just makes me thankful that even here on the rugerforum people can spout any sort of nonsense they want without fear of going to jail. Or just disappearing. Yikes!
I still don’t understand why we import so much crap from China. The other day, my wife and I were in the store, she commented in Bulgaria, the stores have stuff made in Europe, Italy, France, Spain etc. But here, everything is made in China.
I don’t get it. By buying all their junk we are silently agreeing with the government of China to silence their people. Just my opinion.
My wife and I don’t really buy each other Christmas presents. I usually just wrap up some groceries. It’s gotten to be one of those inside jokes.
But I’m going to make sure if I buy anything for anyone this Christmas, it’s not going to be made in China.
That’s my pledge. I wonder if it’s even possible?
