I’m reading the news about China, apparently the country is fed up with COVID lockdowns. They want to protest but the gov’t doesn’t let them.

So they hold up blank pieces of paper or just stand there silently.

I try to imagine how those people feel. I guess if you grew up in the society like that and that’s all you knew, it would be different.

It just makes me thankful that even here on the rugerforum people can spout any sort of nonsense they want without fear of going to jail. Or just disappearing. Yikes!

I still don’t understand why we import so much crap from China. The other day, my wife and I were in the store, she commented in Bulgaria, the stores have stuff made in Europe, Italy, France, Spain etc. But here, everything is made in China.

I don’t get it. By buying all their junk we are silently agreeing with the government of China to silence their people. Just my opinion.

My wife and I don’t really buy each other Christmas presents. I usually just wrap up some groceries. It’s gotten to be one of those inside jokes.

But I’m going to make sure if I buy anything for anyone this Christmas, it’s not going to be made in China.

That’s my pledge. I wonder if it’s even possible?

Don't kid yourself, we have mob rule right here. China is the way it is because the people allowed the government to disarm them, ring a bell. America is the last country standing.

The United States is one of the few countries in the world that still sends out Christian missionaries. In China, the possession of ONE Bible is allowed. Possess two, and you are guilty of distributing Bibles. Not arrested for, but guilty of. Church services are infiltrated with informers who will turn in their own family.

Yes, it's possible. Just Google a product you're interested in buying and type--Made in USA only. Just copy/paste this and you'll see what I mean: flashlights for sale made in usa only

I hope this thread can stay out of the Politics forum.

I've wanted an AK rifle/carbine for decades. Between PRK prohibitions on distribution, possession, and economically supporting the communist bastards, I have patiently waited for a reasonably priced, USA made copy.

Fast forward to today. After six decades of life on this earth, I will be getting the Palmetto State Armory standard GF3 plum colored AK. And with a reliable American made magazine ( MagPul ). Buy American! There is no more need to economically support our enemies with firearm and ammo purchases. And yes, I will be feeding this beast with brass USA and Serbian made 7.62x39 ammo. Again, avoiding funding our enemies!!

Local garden store closed and reopened a block away and just up the street from us. Last week my wife sent me up there to buy a new wreath for our front door.... walked in and something did not seem right... finally found a few wreaths over on the side.... not real greenery but some kind of plastic... and the prices were from $90-150 and in small print under the price... "made in China". I walked out.

Sadly,, "we the people" have allowed the Chinese to invade us. We want a product, and we want the cheapest price. When the demand is high, and a profit can be made,, too many American people do not care where it comes from. They just want cheap.
Yet many of the same people complain when something is poorly made & breaks.

We try hard to buy as much American made stuff as possible.

PS; Buy Rugers,, they are American made! :D
