I see some 44 mag Bisleys marked as super blackhawks.
How does that differ frame wise from the 45LC Bisley frame?
Thank you

The basic answer is that ALL .44 Magnum Ruger Single Actions are labeled Super Blackhawk.

Oh, Ruger being Ruger, there are exceptions but, in general, this is the case.

No difference in size.

Flatgate, do you mean ALL "current" 44 Magnums are Super Blackhawks? Flat tops were not.

True. All guns .44 Mags with protected Rear sight (ears) are Super Blackhawks. All guns with flattop topstrap are Blackhawks.

The 45 Bisley uses a standard Blackhawk frame with Bisley parts. The frame says Blackhawk and the cylinder has the Bisley rollmark on it. I bought mine in 2002, but I think they are still like that.

I figured since the OP was discussing Bisleys I answered with a "New Model" era answer.

Of course, the guns made prior to the advent of the Super Blackhawk were Blackhawks. Both types were made simultaneously between late '59 and late '62/early '63. At that time the .44 mag. Blackhawk was dropped but was resurrected in '06 with the 50th Anniv. guns.

I have a New model blackhawk Bisley 45LC 5.5".
I assume the 7.5" Bisley model has the same frame.
Does the 44mag 7.5" Bisley have the same frame with just a different
stamp on it?
I'm a little confused here.

New stuff not flat top.

Ruger makes 3 frame sizes. "Small" Single-Six, "Mid Sized" Blackhawk and "Large Sized" Blackhawk/Super Blackhawk.

Bisley Models have, in the past, a slightly different frame, however that difference is only in the "height" of the portion where the grip frame's "ears" attach. I believe things are getting more "standardized" in this day and age.

I don't follow all the various versions of the products and won't attempt to "set in stone" the specifics of the variety of the products.

Peruse the SR&Co's web site. Study the relationship between the catalog numbers and the "size" of the products offered. You should be able to discern the various sizes and their nomenclature. Maybe.
