Hey guys I just picked up a SR1911 commander last night. I haven't shot it yet. I was cleaning it last night and noticed some milling marks on the frame rails. I have contacted Ruger and they asked for pictures of the marks. I have sent them several pictures of the frame rails. Now I am just waiting on a response.

Here are the pictures...should I be concerned or am I just overracting about them.

Thanks

There is a slight indention from between the marks. They are on both slides of the frame. In the pictures they start at about the top of the thumb safety and go down to about the slide stop pin hole.

Thanks guys. Ruger responded to my email and strangely they said they would like to look at it. The email sounded very generic. I think it was an email they send out when anyone has concerns about their firearm.

I am going shooting tomorrow, so hopefully all goes well. I plan calling Ruger back and telling to disregard.

Thanks

I am the same way...the smallest details eat me up.

I gotta admit .... I have NEVER ONCE looked at any of my guns with that much detail .... I've always used the old .... If it works satisfactorily for me, it's fine theory.

Now if a gun wasn't working properly ... THEN I would look at it in much more detail.

Funny thing is ... I've never had to actually repair a gun I owned .... Ever. If a gun I own has issues .... Whether it be accuracy related or anything else .... I just get rid of it, and buy something better or something else. That's only happened a few times in close to 50 handguns that I've owned ... 2 Ruger P series guns, a CZ40B, and a a Beretta 40. 3 of those 4 guns were 40 caliber, which is why I no longer own or will own any 40's.
