I'm on a road trip and just found a chromed single six, Ser# 4662xx, in
decent condition, with a bit of handling wear, probably 85% plus, no rust, pitting or finish flaking. Only thing is- it says 22 caliber on the frame and when I checked it had the Mag cylinder installed, and no LR cylinder. The face of the cyl was so dirty I couldn't find any numbers scratched in it but assume it is an original.
I left it in the store case, to do some research. No pics, but it had walnut black eagle grips, most paint rubbed off, and a polished alloy erh and grip frame.
What say you?
No box or paperwork, so what's it worth if I decide to go back and get it?
Edit to add Ruger records shows it shipped March of 1967 and they found the invoice which just shows it was a RSS5X, no mention of the chrome job.
