I already had one, but this .44 Special came along at a price I couldn't pass up. Minor tweaks include:

1) Lighter trigger spring
2) Trigger job
3) #5 basepin
4) White grips with OM emblems (had these on the shelf for 2 - 3 years. Glad to finally use them)

While I've seen many pics of your detailed work,, this simpler set-up is also very nice. And being smart enough to not pass up a sweet deal,,, well heck,, that's just good plain horse sense! :D

I also use that same revolver. Typical load for me is the well known (Skeeter Skelton) 250 gr. Lyman Keith over 7.5 gr. of Unique. It prints a might high for my liking but I've been managing for years now. That said, I finally aquired some 200 gr. Speer Gold Dots and loading them is next on my project list for this revolver. There's also a higher front sight from Dick Thompson that's been sitting on the bench for way too long.
