Flatgate and Roundgate

Thanks to fellow Forum member mr.deerstalker I now own my first Flatgate. S/N dates it to 1956 and it's pictured here with my birth year (1959) roundgate I found locally a few months back.

These are shooter grade guns for sure but you just don't see these often around here.

Very nice! I can't remember the last time I ran into a nice ol' mid '50's Single-Six!

Methinks they are getting "squirrelled away!

I took the flatgate to the range Sunday. As expected it functions like new and is a joy to shoot. Load it, shoot it, reload and repeat as often as necessary.

These pics make the guns look better than they actually are. There's some holster wear and parts have gotten that brownish patina (sp?) like so many of these have. All character marks as far as I'm concerned.
