My Lipseys .44 special 5 1/2 is hitting 2 inches left with the rear sight cranked all the way right. I let two other people try the gun to help rule out shooter error. All shooting was done at 15 yds. Is this a common problem with BH or is mine a freak? I also have the 4 5/8 version and it is a tack driver, sights are nicely centered. My question is , do I live with it or should it be sent back to Ruger? I thought I had seen this problem posted elsewhere on this forum but could not locate. Your thoughts please.THANKS

Your gun isn't a freaky occurance. Having one shoot right or left is a bit more common than we would like. I would contact Ruger due to the fact that if the rear sight is too far over,, it can get broken,, lost etc.
Some folks will shave one side or the other on a front sight to help solve the problem. (sixshot prefers a narrower front post ,, and if the gun needs a little regulating,, he shaves SOME off on just one side,, shoots the gun,, and sees if it needs more work. That's an efficient way to get it where he likes it,, but removes the factory width blade.)
A polite call to Ruger will most likely get you a shipping carton,, and it'll make a return trip to them,, and hopefully it will return properly fixed.
Now,, try factory ammo before you do this,,, because they will be using factory ammo to test it at the factory.

Yeah, I think you guys are right, it needs a trip back to the factory. I'll try and scrouge up some factory loads this week and another range trip. Thanks for the input. Sometimes I just need a little push.
