Hey Jim Hayden! Just wanted you to know that one of my son's sneaked off with a couple of his boys to do some isolated fishing as he called it. Said nobody was around & the fishing was great! His goal for a long time has been a 5 lb German Brown, well he beat it by a long ways buddy, this monster went over 7 lbs! They caught several nice fish.

That's just wrong!

A beautiful day,, out with family, catching monster fish,,, all while many of us have to still work, or are stuck in "shelter in place" orders.

:D :D :D

Seriously,, an OUTSTANDING fish for sure!!!!!! Tell him "Congrats" for me!

Wow!!!! Tell him congratulations. There are fisherman and there are FISHERMAN! Thanks so much for sharing this.

Beautiful Brown. I'll be headed for the high lakes here as soon as enough snow melts to gain access. I can only hope for one like that. Tell your son congrats for surpassing his goal.

Dick, congratulations to your son. I'm glad your family is able to fish in place as the law requires. I'm sure they are able to maintain appropriate social distancing as well. I'm sure the result will be they are able to stay healthy and live long!!!

I was fishing in the Rio Grande near Del Norte Colorado and saw 3 really large browns hanging out under a big tree limb.
I drifted flies, roostertails, spoons and jigs past them all afternoon without a bite, finally I ran a countdown Rapala by them and the smallest of the 3 grabbed it, the other two looking at him like "dumbass". Still the nicest trout I have ever caught.

So Don,
Why and when did you leave one of the best places in CO??????????? We have spent a lot of time in the South Fork/Crede area and love it. I can not imagine leaving that part of CO for OK.
Just curious.
