Just picked up my first GP100 in a trade. I had a S&W 642 .38 special, but managed to get a S&W 640 .357 a couple of weeks later in another trade. Didn't need two snubbies for off-duty carry so I traded the 642 for the GP100.
The GP100 is SS with the 4" barrel. Rubber Hogue grips and green HiViz rear sights. Looks to be in excellent condition. Have no idea how much its been shot prior to my obtaining it, but it looks pretty sharp.
I was wanting a good, solid full sized .357 magnum for those times I camp or hike. I download it with .38+P for the HD roll. Haven't yet had the chance to fire it yet, but looking foward to it.
Is there an easy way to find out when it was made?
Also, I lurked around a bit before joining. Found quite a bit of good information here on the GP100. I especially liked the link to Rugers website where they have the dissasembly/assembly/cleaning videos. Thank you.
