Fantastic Reloading Info

In another topic, somebody suggested I try the products from Penn Bullet company. When I visited their web site I encountered a very pleasant surprise: The owner, who has vast experience reloading and casting bullets, has devoted a section of his web site to reloading tips.

I learned more in an hour of reading there than I have in years of gleaning bits of info from other sources:

Does anybody know the status at Penn?

I ask for a couple of reasons:

* An order I placed for samples hasn't been shipped. My credit card hasn't been charged, either, so no harm, no foul.

* An email I sent Penn on Friday bounced back saying their mailbox is full.

I had such an informative correspondence with the owner - I hope he's okay.

Yes. All is well.

I phoned this morning and spoke with president Bob Palermo. I had ordered "samples" over the phone and my order was somehow misplaced. After confirming that what I wanted was in stock, he suggested I re-order on-line - which I did.

Bob is one heck of a nice guy and a gold mine of information. A while back I had a fairly detailed email correspondence with him. His replies were prompt, detailed, informative.

Can't ask for more than that.

I'm really looking forward to the samples. It's said that Penn's 165 gr is one of the most accurate bullets for 40 Cal. Now that my CZ-75B is showing promise of being match grade, I'm chasing load accuracy like the holy grail.
