Some of you have heard so I figured I would let y'all know. Last Thursday I fell about 20 feet broke my pelvis ,two ribs, my right arm, and sevral fracturs. I will be out of work for 6 months give or take. And in a chair at least two months .

OUCH;
Sorry about your fall; at 20 feet you are lucky it wasn't fatal. I do not envy you your pain for the next 6 months or more.
Heal quickly, follow the doctor's orders and may GOD watch over you as you heal.

I am also sorry to hear of this mishap. Every day, we take our chances and take it for granted we're going home in one piece. Our lives are changed in one second.

Take care, do what the Daktari says, and Get Well!

Damn, that had to hurt!
Doing the math in my head from 20 feet you would be somewhere around 23 to 24 mph.
That's a big hit, some don't survive something like that.
If you don't mind can you tell us how it happened?
Good Luck
Dave

Here is another "Get Well Soon!" prayer! I'm on ladders a lot & I always try & take extra precautions so I don't fall.

I am so very sorry to hear of your injuries. I do hope you have a speedy and uncomplicated recovery.

My prayers are with you.

Glad you are as good as you are after a fall that far. Could have been a lot worse!

I fell 16' back in 2006 and broke both heels. Went through 4 surgeries on my left one , the last being in Sept of 2014 and was laid up 10 months to the day from that one. The Doc took bone from my upper pelvis (went in through
the lower back) for a bone graft. That hurt worse than him rooting around in the foot for the first month so I know it isn't easy!

Hang in there and I hope you heal up well , and don't have to go through anymore than you already have!

Ruger 45,
Prayers and best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery........
Lord, heal our fellow member from his injuries. Strengthen, encourage, and comfort him so that he may know the depth and the magnitude of your love. Draw him closer to you as you meet his needs, and carry him through this difficult time.
"Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise." Jeremiah 17:14 (NIV)

I opened this thread hoping it was about the season fall at work.

Sorry to hear about your injury. Prayers for a speedy and full recovery.

Home from the hospital today finally. Still can't walk but go the 19 to see if the pelvis has healed up enough to take my weight. Got home about noon and my dogs have not left me alone for a second.
I still have a long road ahead but have improvements every day.

Good to hear; Stick with the Doctors and good luck on the 19th.

Wow. Get well soon! I've worked on legal cases where falls ended up fatal. Clearly, your work here is not done! God bless and Godspeed!

Very sorry to hear this news, you'll be in my prayers as well.

I lost a friend and co-worker a few weeks ago after he took a fall from a deer stand. One of the best guys I ever knew. Worked a 12 hour shift, went home got about three hours sleep and into his stand which was 22 ft high. He went to sleep and slid out. Friend found him conscious on the ground with fractures from head to toe. Multiple surgeries and during yet another one he suffered a heart attack on the table. His safety harness was not used and he fell on rocky soil. One cannot be safe enough.

Sad thing is I have 10 of these brackets. We chose to use the wood ones because they stuck out farther than my metal ones. In hind sight I should have stuck whit my threat to rent a lift to do that section.
