Loaded a handful and shot them this evening.
WWB 115gn FMJ avg fps = 1148.
Using range brass and 4.3gr Win231, Falcon 115gr LRN avg fps = 1085,
Falcon 115gr coated avg fps = 1091.

No difference in accuracy, loaded the same in the Dillon with no more or less drag and same OAL when seating. Slightly less smoke.

BIG DIFFERENCE: much, MUCH cleaner. My Barsto Commander barrel was slick as a whistle, and I'll order more for that reason alone.

GREAT service, too.

Hope this helps. Target is 15yds, offhand, standing with carry sights, 1978 Colt Combat Commander in 9mm.

GREAT service.

I find them interesting. I miss National Bullets Copper-ized bullets. These look to be more like the Federal Nyl-Clad or the Wolf ammo. If or when they get some of them red bullets in some calibers and styles I use, I'll try'em. Thank You.

Those red bullets look like a handfull of tiny lipstick tubes.

I have found that a properly executed firelapping process will result in a bore that essentially stays clean without the need to use specialized bullets. My 44mag SBHH was firelapped and it only takes a single dry patch to clean the bore. The only thing in there is powder residue, and very little of it. No lead whatsoever.

I've been powder coating bullets for my 9mm, 45 ACP, 38 Special, and .44 Magnum for several months and am pleased with the results...

I used Fermin's procedure and the Beartooth kit on my 44 Super Blackhawk Hunter. When I bought the gun, it would lead pretty severely after about 25 cast loads. Beyond 25 there was so much lead in the barrel that the accuracy went to crap.
After performing the firelapping procedure the bore has a mirror like finish and does not lead...at all. The bore looks exactly the same after the 50th as it does after the 1st. A single dry patch will push out what little powder residue there is and that is that. Accuracy has also greatly improved.

I have another 44 and a couple of 1911s that will get the procedure this summer.

Have friend I forwarded this info to. He's a deputy in our county. He's gonna order some .40's. I'm gonna order some Black Dawge in a couple calibers for our summer fun time. Enjoy.
