Having a great time with my new blackhawk that came with the extra 45acp cylinder.

I have another 45 colt. How hard is it to purchase and fit another 45acp cylinder to it?

If it's a Ruger, in general, a spare cylinder is an easy fit. When looking for a spare cylinder, measure the OAL of your current cylinder. Get one the same OAL or a few thousands longer. Then it can be fitted. As for timing, most Ruger cylinders will time correctly. BUT,,,,,,,,,,, be sure to check the alignment before shooting. If you do not know how, check with a gunsmith.

How well does your 45 ACP cylinder fit in your other 45? If it fits proper or a little longer, and you can't find a 45 ACP cylinder, you can send your convertible 45 back to Ruger and have a spare ACP cyl installed.

Then use it in your other 45. Ruger will usually not install an ACP cyl in your other 45 because it didn't originally ship as a convertible.

Good hunting!
