FWIW, I just received back a USED, but pristine, Ruger Single-Six .22 Magnum single-cylinder Old Model (RSSM), that I had sent to Ruger's New Hampshire Customer Service Dept because 2 of the 6 chambers were slightly undersize, causing hard chambering and drive-out (hammer/drift) extraction.

I had bought it at auction, and it looks like it had gone through the production line with two of the chambers getting reamed with worn chambering reamers (IMO Ruger must "gang-chamber" revolvers, with 6 or 7 chambering reamers working simultaneously on each cylinder blank).

When I got it back, only two weeks after I sent it for a repair cost estimate, I found that Ruger had:

1) Replaced the faulty .22WRM cylinder with a (fitted) new .22WRM cylinder

2) Added/fitted/included a new/second cylinder in .22LR

AND

3) Returned the original/faulty .22WRM cylinder for collector purposes (in a "do not use" warning bag)

Thus, making it a RSSMX ! .

All at NO CHARGE ! !

I yam a happy camper ! .

Yep. I was buying an AR-15 this summer. It was between the Ruger 556, or a DPMS. I ended up getting the DPMS. I decided to change the pistol grip, and there is some kind of a screw that looks like the nose of .44 Spcl HP. I called DPMS CS, sent pictures. They called repair-use a 5/16 hex socket, they said. Huh? So I requested a screw with a REGULAR FLAT screw head or Allen wrench to replace it when I got it out. No go! It is still in there. I mentioned to DPMS CS, that I should have bought the Ruger!
