Eating habits

I'm 75 and my wife's 72. We've noticed how much less we eat now. Between our metabolism slowing down as we age and being less physically active we don't require the calories we used to. Fifty years ago my doctor asked me what I eat. I told him a chicken & a six pack(seven course meal) or a steak. Now I eat a healthy diet and have a hard time keeping my weight up. I'm down to high school(17 yr old) weight now. 6'1" 190. Ten years ago I was 220lbs. We loose muscle as we age too which contributes to weight loss. I try to do some light arm & shoulder dumbell work plus pushups regularly. Use it or loose it is real.
Isn't it six pints of Guenness and a potato? Wait that might be an Irish 7 course meal. They do let you take the potato to go.😄

Jav, sorry for the drift with my hot sauce pic, but Tapatico is a standard now as well as Texas Pete. And one thing I've learned about them is they have their place, not one sauce fits all. Very interesting to learn application faves.

But it does fall in with the change of eating habits I think.
I have tried all in the picture and a lot more, I keep da bomb on hand as one of the hottest sauces but keep a lot.more for many uses. Currently I have one that is grapefruit based that is wonderful on hot dogs and eggs for intance. Also have tried some mustard based sauces that I like with anything beef or hot dogd, corn dogs etc. One good one is called gator hammock. Good Chile meat or beans practically requires experimentation with different hot sauces. I find as I get older I eat less but I want to spice things up more.

I've got to admit, Dave's Insanity Sauce on air popped Blue Popcorn is the Bees Knees. Still most folks that scrounge a handful don't do it again? 😄

The secret is: NO processed foods, NO sugar, NO sedative life style. On the other hand, lean meats, good carbs, and plenty of fruits/vegetables is the best recipe along with a moderately active lifestyle. Some weight lifting gives an extra bonus especially as we age. Fare well y'all !!!
