I am 71 in my younger days I knock a steak out any size . Nowadays I buy the 3 inch think ribeyes from Costco and cut them in halve and still share it with my wife . Works perfect for us . Do you notice how your own eating habits changed
In my teenage years Uncle Sam offered a course of training that required four trips to the galley and three box lunches every day and still couldn't maintain my natural weight.I am 71 in my younger days I knock a steak out any size . There was a time my indigestion just kept getting worse, to the point that drinking water was an issue. Carbonated beverages gave me the relief of burping.I think, for me anyway, the big change has been in the spiciness of the food. For example, I used to eat well-seasoned chili and then add a healthy dose of Tabasco sauce. Nowadays I can't even do the chili on its own, let alone with the Tabasco. Or maybe, more correctly, I could eat it like I used to, but I would pay dearly for it, for days, and those around me would also suffer.

Talked to the Dr. about this & was diagnosed with acid reflux disease. Simply, an overproduction of stomach acid. He gave me pills.
Once I started the medication I realized I could eat all the bad things. What fun. My ever changing sauce collection:

And you need to add tapatico to that list alsoI was never a "big" at one time eater but rather a "lot of times" eater. I still eat a bunch over the course of the day, just not a lot at once. Guanzo's hot sauce photo is a sample of what I have. You need some Old Bay hot sauce to add to that collection

I prefer Franks also. But I've started using Crystal Louisiana Hot since since I read that Dickie Brennan (of New Orleans Commander's Palace restaurant royalty) prefers it over all others. It's a little thinner than Franks so I use it more for cooking. I don't appreciate the burn of Tabasco.Frank's. I put thaton everything.
