Early 90s 7722

I'm looking for info on my 7722 that my wife bought me as a present in the earlt 90s. It was ordered as a stainless steel with the blue green synthetic stock, and came blue with the blue green stock(boat paddle). The dealer was going to send it back but I found it to be perfect and kept it. It was my impression at that time you only get the boat paddle with stainless and the blue was only with a wood stock. am I right, was this a fluke. I am just courious as I will never get rid of this rifle. Any info will be appreciated.

When the boat paddle stocks came out, Ruger did offer the blue model with that stock, but only for a short time. It was realized that the public was more confortable with a blue action in a walnut stock and the stainless all-weather marked guns in the synthetic stock.
