Dutch Orchestra Walks Out On Muslim Conductor

I did not catch this in the U.S. news. I guess we couldn’t cover it so we wouldn’t “offend” anyone of the Islamic faith?

Well done to the Dutch Orchestra!

The Dutch Orchestral concert staged Friday, 09 May, 2014 where Queen Beatrix of Holland is to attend a concert. The Conductor, who just happens to be a Muslim, proceeds to give the Queen a lecture on the "beauty" of Islam.

Then the members of the Orchestra just get out of their seats and walkout! Great to see people with the courage of their convictions!

Wayno, you may be correct. The subtitles may not be accurately translated. However, he obviously said something very offensive and out of character for a conductor who is getting paid to entertain. Rather than just do his job, it appears as if he went into a very controversial monologue.

It would be very refreshing if when Obama begins his grinnin and lying on his tour of American campuses that the audience just walk out on him that way..but his audience is all pre screened and hand picked...Same with Kerry...really would like to see folks just show their displeasure with the current mad men in Washington and just walk out on them...no riots...no shouting...simply get up and walk away...maybe at the next "State of the Union" address the "non believers" in the Obama way could just excuse themselves and leave..or like in the old vaudeville days..hold up a newspaper in front of their face to show displeasure.
