Are rotary magazines for the 77/22 and 10/22 interchangeable?

They will interchange...but, the profiles of the magazines are different. So the don't fit flush. IIRC the 10/22 magazine has a higher profile.

Yes they are and will but as has been pointed out, the 10/22 model
magazine has a rounded bottom unlike the 77/22 that has a flat one
so it might be a bit tricky removing a 77/22 magazine from a 10/22
but they both should feed equally well and reliably.

The 77/22 magazine also tapers up in the front, where the 10/22 doesn't, so a 10/22 mag will stick out the bottom of a 77/22 a little, but it will fit and function.

In basic training, another recruit asked the drill sergeant "if an officer calls on the phone, should I salute." Guess it was an honest question but I still thought it was dumb.
