Who the heck eats a hot dog like this? And how about the fool that has a hamburger three to four inches thick and picks it up with one hand and goes to take a bite out of it? Have those people never seen a normal person eat a hot dog or hamburger?

What is not normal about the picture I just yesterday ate a chilly dog with one hand as a matter of fact I had two.

What is not normal to me is holding it at the end like that as in the picture below. I've never seen anyone eat a hot dog like that.

The picture on the bottom is how I hold a hot dog and everyone else that I know holds it that way too. Am I strange because I don't hold it by the end?

It may not be the way you eat it but that doesn't mean that it isn't 'normal'. Depending on how much 'other stuff' I pile on a dog determines how I grab it. I didn't know that there was a 'proper' way to hold one.

Oh come on guys, You have to have noticed the peculiar way people in commercials hold products. They hold them so they get as little hands or fingers on it so as much as possible of the product shows.

I’ve certainly noticed it before. Just not sure the hotdog is the best example. I’ve seen lots of people eat like that.

If it’s a drink the logo always shows. Ever wonder if they print special cans so the logo is in the right orientation with the drink hole? I guess they probably just go through a case until they find a right one.

Here you go, it's a commercial trying to sell you something, just like some car commercials showing someone driving like a bat out of hell thru the woods, mountains, whatever, they have that little warning at the beginning " closed road, professional driver yada yada!!!, maybe on the food ads they should do the same, " actor pretending to eat, yada yada!!!

When I hold it like your second picture shows, all the goodies fall out on my shirt.

Hi,

I hold the bun at both ends like an ear of corn and bite the middle. Haven't figured out why everything always ends up in my lap, though!

Seriously, if the hot dog gets into the kid's mouth, does it matter how he holds it for the camera? I'm just surprised he doesn't have a white male "Dad" and an Asian "Mom" (possibly male, too) sitting next to him like so many of the PC commercials seem to find "necessary" to show us.
