Doesn't a BBQ Gun Need BBQ Leather?

Oh yes, yes they sure do!

One of my favorites from Mike Barranti. Only thing that makes great leather better is when it's made by a friend.

Here are a few field holsters I made. My wife did the carving and tooling.

My RH holster with matching knife sheath.

Just like with my guns, holsters I also prefer to have a plain, unfrilly look to them. Give me plain leather (brown or black) and I'm happy.

With this post I have seen some pretty impressive looking guns and holsters. There is nothing that I like better in a firearm then to see it engraved and gold inlayed with a set of hand made grips by a true artist. Then finish it off with a beautiful hand carved leather holster, also by an artist. As firearms go it doesn't get any better then that.

I only wish that I could afford all of the beautiful engraved guns, with hand carved holster that we have seen here. I guess if I could talk myself into buying into the "Sour Grapes" scenario, life would be a lot easier. No I just can't do it! These guns and holsters are just to pretty to say I don't like them. How can anyone not like a piece of art especially on a firearm.

Thanks fellas. My handguns are plain but I figured I'd post the holsters anyway. The Redhawk and Commander gear is about as close as I have to a BBQ rig.

I would have to say yes to that .I'm having a carry bevel job and some engraving done on my Kimber and I'm looking at new holsters for it .One will be a I.WE. B. holster for every day carry ,but I want a nice fancy one for O.W.B. carry for when I'm out in my Sunday best .
