Bad storms along MO/IA state line with lots of damage. Tornado missed younger Son's house by about 5-6 miles but hit the little town of Seymour IA destroying several buildings and seriously damaging the school.
Straight line winds in excess of 100 MPH officially reported in my area.
I had a close call when gusting wind started lifting the roof off a machine shed. I noticed the problem and spent a scary hour fighting the wind while adding a couple of rows of new screws to the loose areas. A couple of unsecured goat huts got flipped over but didn't seem damaged much. When the road settles a bit more, I'm headed up to our north place to see what happened up there. Otherwise, I didn't notice much more than tree limbs down and loose items(buckets and such) scattered.
