Last weekend I was able to head up to the cooler elevations for a little recreational time out at my favorite undisclosed location. I usually take along what Townsend Wheelen called the "Three B's ",( Bacon, Beans and Bannock). This weekend I added two more "B's ... beer and brookies!
This is a fairly remote canyon that is about 60 miles from the nearest grocery store. The creek had good supply of Brookies but their little fish bellies were filled up with grasshoppers and I did not have any flies that looked appetizing to them so I was only able to catch two of them.
There have been wolf sightings in the area and the area is known to be home to a few bear and lions so the big Ruger was my constant companion. Hope you all enjoy the pictures.
Here is the dining room
And a meal fit for a king
A view from camp. The creek is actually hidden by the tall grass.
Here is the creek a little higher up the canyon.
