I was not aware that they ever made them. I calledLeupold and talked to the engineering and customer service departments, neither of which knew of a Leupold base for the #3 or the #1.
According to both the closest they make is the Ruger style RingMounts. Ruger style attachments on some rings.
Only after market mounts for the #3 I'm aware of are the old Buehler and custom Conetrol mounts.
Then I could be wrong.

I'd have to see them to believe they are Leupold bases. MY bet would be that they are in fact Redfield bases that use standard rings with the turn in front and the windage adjustment screws on the rear. So they'll use Redfield rings and any other ring designed the same, Leupold, Burris etc.
I have at least 5 #1s that have the Redfield bases, replacing the rib. The part number for that SR 1-s 512031. I have never seen a set for the #3 advertised or in the box and am unaware that Redfield made a set specific for the #3. It is possible they did, just haven't seen one.
The seller may have been answering that the bases were LEUPOLD because they have Leupold rings in them and that makes sense.
Like I said I could be wrong but I am unaware that LEUPOLD ever made a base for the #3 or the #1. In 40+ years I have nevr seen one and had I seen it, I'd have bought it.
It might be possible to use the Redfield on the #3 Barrel contour by honing them. I used them on a "V" by doing that.
Another option would have been to buy a set of "Gunsmithing" bases from Leupold, they do not have a barrel contour milled and are made for the smith to custom fit them. They certainly could have been made to fit the #3 barrel.
Just have never seen a set in a LEUPOLD box for sale with a Leupold part number. I'll take Leupolds word for them not making them. By the way, I did ask the engineer if they were going to start making some of the Redfield bases now that they are making the scopes again. The answer was NO. They have the right to make the optics but somebody else has the rights to the bases and to his knowledge were not in production.

If you "already" know the answer, why ask the question?
Keep at it, maybe you can make them into the one and only know pair of Leupold bases ever made for a #3 by the factory.
