Couldn't help but notice how bright the Moon was on Thursday afternoon.
It must be caused by "Lunar Warming".

Yes, and if everyone would buy carbon credits from me I can stop the lunar warming!

I wonder if the moon is having more severe weather lately? :D
What on earth could cause the weather on the moon to change? Especially when it has no atmosphere to speak of?
It is a joke about "Lunar Warming", same as the OP, only coming from the other side of the coin.

"Lunar Warming" is as likely to to change the weather on the moon as it is likely to make the moon brighter. Here on earth we all know global warming causes many things, including more severe weather, so it is easy to assume that it might happen on the moon in an alternate and comedic universe. The basis of comedy is often juxtaposition. :D
