Davidsons GP 100 4.2" .38 sp.

Yes, the 85104 is the adjustable sight .38 with a Colt style vent rib on the barrel. The Taurus 83 is really nice. There was a late model stainless 83 on Gunbroker a few days ago. Very nice but once again way out of what little I can afford right now. I'm going to take one of my 9mm's that can be replaced later to the shop and see if the guy would give me a good trade on it.

I got to the range today to shoot my new GP 4.2" .38 and my still unfired(1 month old)
6" .357 GP. Both guns shot like lasers with every load tried. The most fun was the .38 Sp. with 148 gr. Speer Hollow Base Wadcutters over 2.7 gr 700X. They shot every bullet into one ragged hole at 30' when I did not mess up due to the cold or poor lighting. Cant wait for good weather to go and do some serious target work with it. Both guns were spot on with the factory sight setting and my handloads.

These are nice, the older Taurus 83's.
I sold this one, probably should have held on to it. It was very accurate I just didn't think I needed one at the time. I picked up an older 80 to replace it.

You can get used Taurus and Rossi's for almost nothing if you look around, a while back a distributor had dozens of security trade in 851's for $200 each, also Taurus 82's. keep scanning GunBroker, there's always stuff popping up especially with a lot of security firms dumping revolvers as the laws in some states are changing and they can have auto chuckers now.

This was the 841 I had, would love to have kept it but it was too loose. I had looked forward to getting this one too, wish I got a better one....it's about the same size as a Colt Police Positive, as far as the frame.

You might want to look for one of these too, the Astra 960. Mine was a police trade in re-import from overseas, its basically a clone of the S&W N-frame. The 960 is a .38, and there's also a .357 model in 3", 4" and 6". They don't command high prices and a bunch of them just came in. I got mine for $300. High quality gun, it has recessed chambers and really nice fitting. The action is nice, these are a bargain:) every bit as capable as a Smith, if not more so. I would like to get a couple of the .357's, a 4" and a 6" while they're still low priced. FN sold Astra revolvers as the Barracuda. Oh and don't buy an Astra Cadix, they're junk.
