Perhaps we should hire a medium to channel Timmy and ask his opinion. I won’t say anyone is wrong but I know the most dangerous thing in the world is a mommy protecting her young.

Years ago my wife, all 90#’s soaking wet went after a man more than twice her size when he tried to grab my eldest from his stroller. She took him down and just kept kicking until some folks stopped her. He was likely happy to see the cops.

So you are out in the woods and come across two bear cubs playing... the fun thing to do is go in and play with them? I guess momma is going to sit over in the corner with her picanick basket and just watch the fun?
I was standing between an adult female and her 3 cubs (YOY). She just watched as long as we stayed 5 feet or so away. She just kept munching down rose hips. Touching a cub may be something else!! Besides, she might abandon her cub(s) and they will need to be destroyed (witness the recent buffalo and elk calves in Yellowstone.)
I wish the bear had turned and come back at the guy..................
You wish was granted!

Sincerely hope he knows the difference between a black bear and a grizzly! Like to see him try it with a moose or a bison ("Go pet the fluffy cow!)
