Dan Haggerty - 74 RIP

They're dropping like flies :( I remember seeing Dan at the NHRA Nationals in Indy many years ago. Seemed like a great guy!

Hi,

I always liked him in the Grizzly Adams series. And what little I saw of him elsewhere made me think he was also one of the good guys all around. RIP, Sir.

got news for you guys....we arent too far behind.

Just had to rub it in, didn't you?

I remember the series. It was great. He'll be missed by many of us..

RIP..interesting thought...many of the recent deaths were people I often thought of as a bit older than me...all of a sudden there is a "time reversal" and I'm seeing the older folks die off and find I'm quite a bit older than they were...now that's scary. I'm 4 years older than "the old man" on Pawn Stars on TV and that is really something to fear.

He was on an episode of American pickers a few years ago. I guess he was tied in with the motorcycle culture back in the day.

I really enjoyed the Grizzly Adams show too, RIP.

I never saw his TV show, but I can tell you that he absolutely was connected with the biker world. He was part of Sonny Barger's Dead In 5 Heartbeats picture filmed here in Az in 2013. He's the one who plays "Merle"... Easy enough to recognize! Dan was a really down to earth character.

I had a chance to meet Jeff Santo the director, and Jeff Black, the lead who plays "Patch Kincaid". It's an interesting film, but it isn't for everyone. After all, 90% of the cast are real 1% patch holders from 3 clubs. Everyone loved Dan... He was just a really neat guy.
