custom Ruger mk II lower frame

The Pac-lite thread got me thinking about this again.

Would anyone be interested in a lower frame, laser cut and hand assembled, made in the USA from aircraft aluminum (believe it is same material as pac lite reciever)?

Price would be approximately $300?

that would be a handy addition to the paclite upper! would make for a really nice lightweight gun. seems like something paclite could do, then they could sell lowers, uppers, and complete guns.

Knock one out and let us see how it looks. Better yet, knock one out and have someone here do an independent test. What grade aircraft aluminum? 1100, 2011, 2014, 2017, 2024, 3003, 5005, 5052, 5086, 5657, 6013, 6020, 6061, 6063, 6101, 6262, 7050, 7075.

The lower is not the serial numbered part, the upper barreled receiver is.

Would be 6061-T6 if they get made. That is the aircraft grade that me family's metal shop usually uses. This is a soft tooling sheetmetal factory. no stamping.

Grip frame is NOT a serialized part on the Mk-series...... he does NOT need to be registered.

300 assembled ? i maybe would be in-but i would rather have a 22/45 frame myself-
300 and i still have to buy all the parts? probably not-

You can buy a complete MKII Target for $300, I Did..
Sounds very Cool & would love to See one if you ever get the project underway..
Parts kits for the 22 Rugers seem to go for over $100 on Gunbroker..
