I have decided rather than molest this gun I better let it go to new home. I purchased the gun from the original owner who had the custom work done but unfortunately the paperwork was lost when he made a move. Pictures of the gun were sent to David Clements after he retired and he confirmed he did the work on the gun. David did an action job, installed his brass bead front sight and a Belt Mnt. #5 base pin. The gun also was sent to Turnbull in NY for the case coloring then Paul Persinger crafted the grips. Paul is best known for his carved ivory grips but he did make some wood grips as well. While I am not a 357 fan, heresy I know, I bought the gun since I knew David would not be producing any more custom revolvers, Turnbull has some long lead times and Paul Persinger has had some significant health issues and his grips will only become harder to find.
The gun comes with the original factory paperwork and the correct red 50th Anniversary box. The shipped price is $1750 from me as an FFL to your FFL. I have no problem braking the purchase price up into a couple of payments if that makes things easier. I would also look at a blued new model bisley in 41 or 45 or an old model blackhawk 41 or 45 as partial trade.
