Customized BKH36 Flat Top Blackhawk, with Super Blackhawk grip frame and wide trigger. Unconverted. RCA letter lists ship date as 12/1959.
Super nice fitting job on the grip frame, and the lettering has been filled on the frame and barrel with gold paint, which is easy to remove if the buyer desires to.
The gun has been drilled and tapped for a scope, which is likely the reason this gun was chosen for personalization. Overall the finish is great, with just a hint of muzzle wear on the left side. It's possible the gun was sent back to Ruger at some point for re bluing - the Ruger Eagle and trademark are "faint" towards the bottom of the frame. My guess is that it was done after the grip frame was replaced, which would explain the fit of the grip frame to the gun as well as the markings. Further evidence is that the tapped hole on the top strap appears to have blued threads. Ruger doubtless installed a transfer bar conversion when/if they re blued it, but if they did it was replaced back to original with the original parts. Aside from the RCA letter showing shipping date, the only other papers are a Ruger "handle with care" warning paper, which they used to send out to warn people about the "danger" associated with the original lock work. Comes in an incorrect and hammered 30 carbine box, and shipper. This is a Flat Top that you won't hesitate to shoot!

Asking $775 shipped, or trade for gold or silver. Make sure your FFL will accept from ShipMyGun. Thanks for looking!

I try to keep what few silver "modern" US coins I have. But I am ready to make an exception if you want silver coins (I don't have any bars or any gold). Looking right now on Coinbase- the Kennedy 1964 halves are $28.19 ( a lot cheaper than a week ago) :( $700/$28 = 25 coins. If that interests you, I'll own my first .357 revolver since I had a set of 686's in the late 80's. If not, I understand completely. Mike
